When you adopt a pedigreed kitten from Soulmates the
following is included along with a gorgeous little
bundle of energy and fluff:
SACC registration. Soulmates subscribes to a strict
breeder code of ethics and all kittens are guaranteed pedigreed & registered with the Southern African Cat Council.
A detailed contract which protects Soulmates and all new owners. Details of this contract can be viewed on request. Please email or phone us with your queries.
A health guarantee: Soulmates kittens are guaranteed free
of certain diseases and parasites. See the contract for specifics.
One to two inoculations, at least 3 de-wormings,
optional early sterilisation and veterinary health checks.
A kitten that has been reared for 12 weeks in a loving
environment, along with other tolerant animals and a
devoted family . While we used to raise our babies
in the house and 'underfoot', we have found that it is
safer and more beneficial to our kittens' health to rear
them in slightly more clinical surroundings, while still
with access to fresh air and sunshine. We have just completed a block of 3 luxury 'maternity rooms' for our queens along with a safe and busy play room for our kittens as they become more active. Pictures and more details of these new kennels can be found on our cattery page.
The decision to make our babies safer in no way compromises the time we spend with them. They are still given as much love and attention as before, while we focus on their health and wellbeing.
A kitten that has been given the best possible
start in life. Our queens are fed premium kitten food during their pregnancy and while they are feeding. The babies are weighed on a daily basis and supplement fed should they not be gaining as expected. Regular dewormings are also given to the queen and her babies.
Soulmates is a cattery that devotes it's time not only to the improvement of the breed, but also to building up relationships with people who feel the same way about their pets as we do. We openly welcome visitors to our cattery, but request that it is done on an appointment basis. We also love children and they are most welcome with parental supervision. However, we do insist that all visitors respect that this is, first and foremost, our cat's home and sanctuary, and that our beloved animals must not be made to feel threatened or stressed in any way.
We will strive to match our kitten's 'purr-sonalities with their potential owners, to the best of our ability. This may take time. Kittens are not always readily available, owing to our breeding policy and we do have waiting lists on all our breeds ... but we can confidently assure you that a Soulmates kitten will be well worth the wait!
