We are extremely proud of what we have achieved with our cattery in a relatively short space of time. Because we are a larger cattery with different breeds, it is not in the best interests of our cats or kittens to breed and rear them 'underfoot' in our house. As a result, we have spared no cost in building catteries that are suited specifically to each breed. Our latest project is a kitten nursery & secure garden which can be hygenically controlled, but at the same time it allows our babies access to love and care in a home enviroment and with access to fresh air, gentle children and other animals.
Our boys all live in their 'bachelor pad'. Their runs are over 10m in length and join on to the original farm house which has now become the 'cat house'. All the guys therefore have access to a warm indoor shelter, natural climbing logs as well as sunshine and a grassy area.
Our Bengal and Burmese queens have bigger secure gardens in which to roam, hunt and play. They have warm lined wooden sheds to sleep in.
For safety and health reasons, our kittens are no longer reared 'underfoot'. Their almost completed rock-art nursery is a heated, well ventilated room with 3 birthing enclosures attached to grassy runs where the queens can take a well deserved break between feeds
Breeders of fine quality Ragdolls, Bengals and Burmese
Full time staff assist Marilyn in caring for our breeding cats. They are fed on a variety of good quality dry cat foods, including Iams, Hills and Royal Canin. They are also given regular small portions of tinned or cooked meat as a treat. This quality diet, along with a strictly controlled breeding programme, is vital to their health and well being. Queens only breed once a year here at 'Soulmates'. We do not subscribe to over-breeding at all. 'Our resident 'teaser tom' helps alleviate the frustrations of regular seasons while 'teaser queens' keep our breeding boys happy too. Happy healthy cats produce healthy, well adjusted babies with sweet and gentle temperaments.

Our cats' welfare and happiness remains our primary concern. We have found that our 51+ cats are much happier, healthier and far less stressed when housed in huge garden enclosures with a few compatible companions rather than all together. Marilyn still gives them plenty of love and attention throughout the day and we have full time staff who assist with their cleaning and feeding on a daily basis
Our older kittens have a warm sunny, glass fronted playroom. The walls and floor areas are carpeted or tiled and the room is filled with interesting toys and play stands at different heights to encourage our babies to get as much exercise as possible. There is also a seating area for prospective owners to come and spend some quality time with their chosen babies.
Our latest project is our indoor Ragdoll 'Raggie-rock Penthouse'. This building will give our Ragdolls the security of an indoor centre along with shaded outdoor runs where they can enjoy some fresh air. The design of this Penthouse will keep the girls separate from the breeding boys when necessary, but allow them to keep each other company whenever they wish.
